The main disadvantage of simple conservatories is that they cost a lot to heat in the winter while they are too hot in the summer – a sure example of poor insulation and design. Usable summer and winter KELLER AG from Luxembourg shows that it doesn't have to be like that. A well-planned conservatory has only benefits to offer.  The home conservatories from the KELLER GLASSHOUSE® and ORANGERIE Elegance® series are so outstandingly well-conceived and insulated that they fulfil and indeed fall below the low-energy standard for windows with insulation values (U-values) for the overall construction of U=0.62 to 0.93 Watt per square metre Kelvin (W/m²K).  Both construction types meet high-quality window standards with triple thermal insulation glazing and passive-house compatibility.
KELLER special flat roof constructions also offer considerable benefits over large-scale glass roof variants: protection from direct sunlight in the summer and good insulation in the winter.  Incidentally many customers don’t know that cooling is around 3 times more expensive than heating.Brown Lattice Shower Curtain Multitude of design optionsPitbull Puppies For Sale In Az The KELLER ORANGERIE Elegance®, an aluminium/glass structure with a combination of flat roof and glass dome, offers a multitude of design options, particularly in terms of colour and shape. KELLER is the first ever designer and name giver of the home conservatory concept. The KELLER GLASSHOUSE®  is a symbiosis of the super-slimline sliding window system - KELLER minimal windows® - and the slender flat roof system of ORANGERIE Elegance® with all static elements located in the interior. This home conservatory’s large slender glass surfaces fit perfectly into modern architectural concepts. Throughout Britain conservatories remain a popular addition to properties creating extra living space and allowing people to enjoy their gardens more, however due to their large glazed areas during the hot summer months solar heat gain can cause the temperatures within to become unbearable.  Blinds offer an ideal shading solution that helps to reduce temperatures and also providing protection to the contents of your conservatory from the damaging effect of the suns rays. During our many years of installing blinds in conservatories we have found that a few styles of blinds really stand out as practical options for use in these unique areas.
The most popular styles for use in conservatories tend to be the vertical blinds, venetian blinds or roller blinds.  These types of blinds offer you the ability to balance the amount of shading and your view out into the garden whilst offering you a wide range of colours and patterns to choose from. For more information on Vertical Blinds please click HERE For more information on Roller Blinds please click HERE For more information on Venetian Blinds please click HERE Growing in popularity for the conservatory market is the use of the blinds that integrate into the UPVC by clipping onto the window systems themselves.  There are two styles of no-drill system either the Perfect Fit system that allows you to install 25mm aluminium venetian blinds or the INTU system, which is used for roller blinds. For more information on Perfect Fit and INTU systems then please click HERE Although we use some of the best wooden venetian blinds available due to the harsh temperature changes that can occur in conservatories we do not recommend the use of wooden venetian blinds in these situations.
We would strongly recommend the use of the less expensive and more resilient aluminium wood effect venetian blinds, as there is no chance of any warping occurring. Another style of blind we do not recommend for use in conservatories are roman blinds.  There are two reasons for this, firstly conservatories can be quite damp places and with the roman blinds usually being manufactured from cotton based curtaining they are very susceptible to damage from mould and mildew attacking the fabric especially in the folds of the blind where airflow is reduced.  This can quickly ruin your expensive new blind.  The second reason for us not to recommend roman blinds is that generally speaking most conservatories have small opening top light windows that provide the ventilation during hot summer day.  Due to the way roman blinds fold up they always occupy quite a large area at the top of the window even when fully open.  This will usually cover most of or possibly the entire window opening, greatly reducing the cooling drafts you would normally expect making the conservatory hotter than required.
