KC Pet Project is caring for the puppy, and had this to say about its adoption status:Regarding the Royals puppy found in the car on Sunday night: the pup is finishing up a city required stray hold and living in a foster home until he is available for adoption. The puppy’s overnight caretaker from the game has placed Early Bird hold on him. We have spoken with the rescuer of the puppy many times, and he informed us that he is happy that the puppy is going to a good home where he will be loved. We also discovered that the rescuer lives in a town with Breed Specific Legislation: the puppy is unable to live in this community. We have made arrangements for the rescuer to visit the puppy before he leaves for his new home and will be sure to give his information to new adopter. Please know that we have done all we can to make sure that the puppy will be going to a home where he is loved and spoiled and have worked with all parties involved to the best of our ability.
