American Bulldog Club of New Zealand shared Standard American Bulldogs's photo.Standard American BulldogsSome standard lines.American Bulldog Club of New ZealandI have one thing to ask of everyone that is breeding or planning to breed. This means being sure that not only, are you breeding from healthy dogs. But that you match the right pup with the right owner/family. So many puppies get placed with the first person to bring money and then they choose their particular pup. If a puppy is to be placed in a home as a companion to a family, doesn't it make sense to ensure that the puppy is a good fit? Is it so h...ard to ask a young couple what their family plans are for the next ten years? Or to ask how their children react to different situations? To ask if they have any other pets or plans to have any other pets? Temperament testing of a puppy takes what? About an hour or so? Out of 8 weeks, I don't care how busy you are, there is time to observe each and every puppy to see how they act and react.
NEVER let a family pick their puppy and guess what...THEY WILL APPRECIATE THE CHOICE YOU HAVE MADE INTO MAKING SURE THEIR PUP IS A GOOD FIT! You might lose buyers? On occasion, yes...but my philosophy is that if you can talk someone out of one of your puppies, they didn't deserve it anyway. If you don't have a puppy placement plan as a part of your program, PLEASE consider adding one! Yellow Lab Puppies For Sale In Orlando FlAmerican Bulldog Club of New ZealandBUYER BEWARE!!! Do I register my dogs? Does it make them better? No.American Bulldog Club of New ZealandThe Club was asked to help the AB in the pound, before agreeing to help all proper arrangements were made, unfortunately before he could be collected arrangements changed and we were faced with trying to find transport and paying his fees, we battled and finally arranged a second time to collect him. We then faced a huge dilemma and made the hardest decision ever to withdraw our offer of being able to take him. We wish we could have helped him but circumstances prevented us from being able to collect him.American Bulldog Club of New Zealand added 3 new photos to the album: URGENT HOME NEEDED!!!Young male in pound.American Bulldog Club of New Zealand shared their album.American Bulldog Club of New Zealand******* MISSING /STOLEN?? OK everyone, it's over for talking, we need action because this problem is only going to get worse!!!Especially for our beloved Pit Bull dog who doesn't even get the chance to be re-homed or fostered so it's doubly important for them. It is our belief that Trade Me has a massive part to play in the "unwanted pets" problem, allowing people to sell off litter after litter of their dogs for next to nothing has created the perfect forum for imbecilic breeders and new pet owners alike. They've made it possible for the purchase of a pet to become a sort of "impulse buy" - little thought goes into the long term effect that owning a pet has on one's lifestyle, together with vet bills, food, shelter, entertainment - it isn't a decision to be made impulsively or off the cuff! But cute wee puppies are attractive to most of us and unfortunately they are all to readily available. We would like Trade Me to adopt a policy that would see the Pets section of their site used for re-homing/fosters and adoptions only - no breeders or millers allowed.
