The mission of Second Chance Boxer Rescue (SCBR) is to rescue, rehab, and re-home dogs throughout Florida, (specifically boxers) that would be, otherwise euthanized. “Second Chance” is not a second chance for dogs, because that would presume they had a first chance and failed. The majority of the dogs we rescue never had any chances, first, second, or otherwise. The name of our rescue refers to giving humans a second chance to provide a safe, healthy, and loving home and environment for our dogs, since most of these dogs come to us after they have been abused or neglected by their owners.

SCBR solely relies on volunteers to get the work done and no one receives compensation for their work. SCBR receives no funding from the government or the United Way. Esplanade Park, Fort Lauderdale JM Lexus Sunday Jazz Brunch 11:00 am -2:00 pm Saturday October 8th and 9:00 am - 3:00 pm 23rd Annual All Breed Meet Our Newest Rescues Sophie was hit by a car.  Thankfully she was picked up by BSO and found her way to us.  Her front leg was broken in two places but she has had surgery and is healing well.  Sophie is 6 1/2 years old and is a wiggly little peanut weighing in at just 40 pounds.  Sophie needs a home to recuperate in.  If you can foster or her or would like to adopt her please fill out the appropriate application.  We couldn't say no to helping her but even with the generous discount we received Sophie's surgery was extremely expensive.  If you can help with any size donation it would be greatly appreciated. ABBY was found as a stray and turned over to Boxer Friends.  Shortly after coming to us Abby came down with Parvo.  She was very sick and we weren't sure if she was going to pull through but she has proven to be a fighter. 

Abby is approximately a year old and is a lively, happy boxer girl.  If you would like to foster or adopt Abby please fill out the application.  If you could contribute to her very expensive medical care it would be greatly appreciated.  *UPDATE*  Abby is doing great in her foster home, loves her fur-brother and loves to play.  Abby would do best with an active family, a yard to run and/or a fur sibling.  Check out her newest video Handsome Cooper is waiting for a family to love him. Cooper is about 2 years old and probably walks the best on a leash that I have seen in a long time. Cooper suffers from separation anxiety.  We will provide the trainer but Cooper needs someone who is not gone for long stretches of time and is willing to work with him. If you have a chill dog that would help also. Please contact us if you are interested in making this adorable boy part of your family. No small dogs or cats and he would probably do better in a home without small children.  Cooper really needs a foster or adopter.
