I bought them primarily to use with video. They do a credible job with video, but the instructions don't tell you that in order to get the video to work it has to be in a specific AVI format. Just any old AVI format will not work. I had to contact tech support for help. They were very helpful and filled me in on the requirements. They suggested the free Freemake Video Converter program to convert my videos. The key for me was to convert to the XVID codec which can be done with the free converter. The resulting video is not really High Def, but is very credible for the price. I bought this as a present for our family one Christmas & have found it to be used more than I ever thought it would. It is easy to load & change / update photos and has a very clear picture. I was planning to make a scrapbook of pictures for my 6 year anniversary with my wife, but it was a lot harder than I thought. Did not turn out as pretty as I hoped...so I needed a plan B. This frame is a life saver!
