We are an open admission shelter that accepts all owned animals. We find homes for thousands of animals each year.Our shelter has more than 500 volunteers that help in all areas. We also have an extensive Education Department that visits schools on a regular basis to teach respect and kindness to all animals. In addition to spaying and neutering all the pets that are adopted, we also offer low-cost spay/neuter services for pets belonging to residents in our community and feral cats. Please visit our shelter, we are open 7 days a week and adoptions opens daily at 10:30 a.m.. All adopters will meet with an adoption counselor to complete an adoption application and then meet their potential new family member. Please bring your driver's license with you or a bill that has your current address on it. All pets are spayed or neutered prior to going home, so the pet may not go home the same day. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, preliminary vaccinations, deworming, treatment for fleas, microchip, limited 10 day health care plan courtesy of VCA Animal Hospitals, feline leukemia test for cats, heartworm test for dogs over the age of 7 months, and rabies vaccination. To begin your exciting search for your new best friend, plase start by browsing all of the dogs and cats in our care: Our list of dogs and cats includes both adoptable pets that are ready to go home immediately and lost pets waiting to be reunited with their owner. In order to give all of our pets every opportunity to find a home, you may place a $20 non-refundable deposit on a lost dog or cat.

If the pet is not claimed by his owner, you will be able to adopt the pet. If the owner is reunited with his dog or cat, you may transfer the $20 deposit to another pet. In both instances, your deposit is applied toward the adoption fee at the time of adoption. To place a hold on a pet, simply come to our shelter and complete an adoption application I See a Pet I'm Interested in Adopting! We make it as easy as possible to get your new friend home! Here's all you have to do: Come and meet your new best friend! Bring a photo ID, such as a driver license, state-issued ID card or U.S. Passport.  The address on your photo ID must list the same address where you live.  If your place of residency does not match what is listed on your photo ID, you must bring proof of residency, such as a utility bill. Our Animal Care and Adoption Center is open as follows: For adoption Tuesday through Friday from 11AM - 6PM (the last Adoption Application is accepted at 5:30PM)

We are also open for adoptions Saturday and Sunday from 11AM - 4PM (the last Adoption Application is accepted at 3:30PM). The center is closed on Monday. If you wish to visit our Stray/Lost Pet area, that part of the Adoption Center does not open until 1PM. Our standard adoption fee for all pets is $50.
