Golden Irish Puppies For Sale In Florida

Things to Know Before Owning a Golden Retriever Golden Retrievers, affectionately referred to simply as Goldens, are typically medium to large dogs with strong athletic builds. They are often described as having expressions that exude intelligence and gentleness. And these are both qualities that most Golden Retrievers have in abundance! Goldens usually have thick coats that can be either straight or wavy and soft drop ears. Some Golden Retriever mixes retain these characteristics while others may have a very different appearance. Most Golden Retrievers will shed all year round. They may shed more excessively, at least twice each year, when their coat is changing for the season. Regular brushing will minimize the amount of fur that is shed throughout the home. And like other breeds with water repellent coats, the Golden should only be bathed when necessary to avoid removing the natural oils from their oat. Golden Retrievers are highly intelligent and social animals that require exercise and mental stimulation to avoid boredom and the resulting behavioral problems or hyper activity.
Most Goldens will love swimming related activities, playing fetch, which is a form of retrieving, and even playing hide and seek. This is an activity that mimics search and rescue activities. Don’t forget to reward your pet with high praise or small treats when he finds you! If these activities are not possible for you on a regular basis, a long walk or a brisk run will help keep your Golden Retriever happy. Those who share their home with Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes frequently describe them as tremendously intelligent companion animals that love everyone and everything, including other animals. They can be extremely eager to please, affectionate, devoted and obedient. In fact, they actually love to learn! This is a breed that is known to be particularly gentle and patient with children and to display equal parts of charm and playfulness. 5 Reasons to Consider Adopting Over Buying a Golden Retriever for sale from a store, or Golden Retriever Breeder: Below you'll find many Golden Retriever focused rescue organizations.

Land O Lakes, FloridaGolden IrishGolden Retriever / Irish Setter Hybrid DogsInformation and Pictures Cooper the Golden Irish (Golden Retriever / Irish Setter mix) at 3½ years old—"He stands about 10" shorter than an Irish Setter and is therefore more compact and less lanky in his gait; walks with a bit of that Setter bounce and runs beautifully. Needs exercise and loves to fetch; I have him running off-leash once or twice a day; and is very much a water dog. He has shorter hair on his back and longer on the chest and withers and sheds significantly less than a Golden Retriever (my previous dog). His coat is really smooth and soft and is a rich chestnut color, not as red as a Setter. He has a fabulous disposition, is great with children, adapted easily to his new home (at approximate age of 1.5 yrs) and he has been quite easy to train. He has a huge personality and is very sociable. Health has been quite good to date—needs regular ear cleaning to prevent infection and occasional anal gland clearing and infusions.
