Home Depot Movers Coupon Post Office

Is there a strategy for buying major appliances? May 24, 2013   Subscribe Looking for some advice for buying a refrigerator, washer, and dryer for the first time. Microsoft Office Military Discount Home Improvement Stores (Lowe's & Home Depot): Military Discount Page Many of you already know and use the 10% military discount at Home Depot. It's great and can be used any day of the year (just show your ID). Thanks Home Depot for supporting the military! However, I always get 20% off at Home Depot. 1.) I buy discounted gift cards online that offer 7%-9% discounted home depot gift cards. These sites basically buy and sell used or new gift cards at a discount (not just Home Depot cards) A couple of my favorites are: There are others but those are the ones I've tried and found VERY fast and reliable. They have guarantee's so there isn't a worry that you get a bad gift card or any thing like that. NOTE: Be sure to buy the gift cards that can be used in-store and not the "e-cards" or ones that can only be used online.
Although there is a way to apply the additional 10% military discount on online orders, it's a hassle. With the in-store gift cards you can apply the additional 10% military discount when you check out. 2.) I use my discounted gift cards just like I would use cash to make all my purchases at Home Depot and I'm able to use the additional 10% military discount on all my purchases.Cat Paw Gloves Tutorial 3.) When I buy my discounted gift cards online, I use a credit card that gives me 2% cash back. I ALWAYS pay off my bills in full every month to avoid paying any interest.
So here's the Final Discount: 10% military discount + 8% discounted gift cards + 2% credit card rewards = 20%. Not bad for a store like Home Depot that's hard for regular folks to get any discount. The savings really add up, especially if you own your own home or use home depot frequently. Here are some of my savings: Bought new washer and dryer and refrigerator that cost about $1,000 = $200 saved. Painted several rooms in our house for about $200 = $40 saved Yard and pool supplies for about $300 = $60 saved. Because YOU are Military you can do this same thing! Anyways, just thought I would share because ONLY the military are able to get these awesome savings. Comment with any questions or with your experience! Visit your local U.S. Post Office. Ask the postal clerk for a “mover's guide” packet, which is usually available for people who must change their mailing address. But even if you're just shopping for a new appliance (or are wary of any tools other than a paint brush), there are ways to keep your wallet fat at the hardware store. Store these secrets in the back of your mind for your next Lowe's visit: Now here's something you won't see everywhere: Not only will Lowe's honor a competitor's price, they'll also beat that price by an additional 10% (and psst: Home Depot does the same thing).
When Lori Felix of More With Less Today bought her washer and dryer, she got a bargain: "I brought in an ad from Sears and they matched it, plus gave me the 10% off. It was very easy and the savings were well over $100." (and other online retailers) but there is a small catch — the shipping and handling costs must be added to the price. This policy is a bit more fluid, apparently — according to Lowe's, coupon-matching is up to the discretion of the store's manager. But anecdotal evidence proves it's worth asking:  "Besides Home Depot, they'll typically happily accept a coupon from any local competitor," says Kyle James, the blogger behind Rather Be Shopping. He has successfully used coupons from Ace Hardware and Menards at Lowe's.It's not just for the flea market, people. Lowe's staffers have the authority to haggle the prices on floor models, open box items and damaged items. James was recently shopping for two low-flow toilets when he noticed that the boxes in his cart had rips in them.
"One of which was on the handle of the box and was going to make it a bit cumbersome to transport," he says. "So I politely asked the employee in the aisle if he could take off $50." For example, when this story was reported select major appliances were 10%  off and a 14-piece Kobalt tool set was slashed by $10. You can also search by category (think: outdoors, paint, tools and more) — a handy trick if you've got a project in mind, but want to wait for a discount before you tackle it.Redoing all of your flooring?
Buying a boatload of bathroom tiles? "Any consumer — whether they are a professional contractor or an everyday DIYer — can take advantage of reduced pricing on selected items throughout the store when specific quantities are purchased," says Benjamin Clark, Director of Pricing and Promotion for Lowe's. Look for items with "Contractor Pack" labels throughout the store to find out how you can save. Hint: They're often on painting accessories, light bulbs and furnace filters, Clark says. "I just needed some new icicle lights and they were $24.98 in-store and $19.98 online," says James. "I ordered a few boxes and picked them up from the store the following day and saved a quick $10." Decorations and seasonal items are usually cheaper online, James finds.Ask your post office for a movers/change-of-address packet even if you're not moving, says Felix. The packs are free and loaded with coupons — typically, including a voucher for 10% off at Lowe's. You may have to register the coupon online — in which case, you'll have to get crafty with your address if you try this more than once. That perk could add up to big bucks if you've got a major project planned, so it might be worth signing up. But there is one caveat: Lowe's also offers special financing on purchases over $299, but that can't be combined with the 5% discount. That was just a matter of time. #lowescard #momsaysineedanintervention #homeownershipA photo posted by jessikawesome (@jessikawesome) on Nov 30, 2014 at 12:19am PSTIf you currently serve in the military, are a Retired Veteran (having completed 20 years of service) or are a VA recipient, you (and your immediate family) can get an 10% off — though, there are some exclusions.
