Code Enforcement Officers work in close association with the Elk Grove Police Department, Planning, Building and Public Works Departments and other local agencies to maintain high community standards and address violations of the Elk Grove Municipal, Zoning and Housing Ordinances.
Through enforcement of these ordinances and with community awareness and involvement, Elk Grove will continue to be a place everyone feels proud to call home. Code Enforcement Officers will assist you in any way possible. However some issues may require referral to a different departments or agencies for resolution. Elk Grove Code Enforcement cannot help citizens rectify the following problems: With spring fast approaching, Elk Grove Code Enforcement is preparing itself for the uptick in activity that follows a number of sunny days. With 80% of code enforcement issues resolved through education about existing laws and standards, now is a great time to give some insight into the department and how it works. Elk Grove Code Enforcement's mission is to maintain the highest quality of life possible for our citizens by ensuring healthy and safe neighborhoods.  That happens through enforcement of the Municipal Code, and specifically addressing issues that have been identified as a public nuisance. 
While the department relies on education, there are fines, fees and legal action available to ensure compliance with this important set of laws. I live in a one bedroom & suffer from asthma; my neighbors garage is under my bedroom and they have a couch in the garage where they smoke and all the drifting smoke goes into my unit directly above. I can barely breathe & I have asthma. I just took a refinance on my unit prior to this woman moving in and now although I have asked multiple times for the occupants to smoke else where they refuse use the front outside of the unit to smoke.

Owners are ignorant concerning privacy acts. I trully regret purschasing a condo in this community. Don't buy a condo here. There many constructions defects through out the condo, it's not worth the headache. This is a crappy place to buy a proprerty!!!! Before purchasing a condo, Jasmine Elk Grove... Ask for complete disclosures about the countless defects to any units you are about to buy.

JASMINE CONDOS- Construction Defects,Useless HOA, Meddlesome Neighbors= NIGHTMARE! These condo's may see nice at first glance, but they are a headache! The HOA LIES about everything from repairs, to pest control even when I purchased the condo ...HOA didn't disclose their construction defect litigation), and they don't support their residents that pay their dues ON TIME!
75% of the residents are nosey, sloppy and disrespectful (people have the nerve to make false reports and top thier overflowing trash bins with their garbage. A Quiet Relaxing Safe Community After reading the reviews, I felt as if I needed to write one myself to set the record straight. Yes, there were many building defects but those defects have been corrected. Before I answer that, let me as YOU this......Is YOUR home perfect? If we are both honest the answered would be NO. Jasmine unfortunately was built like apartments so sound is an issue. The only way to get around that is to get to know your neighbors and communicate with one another and respect one another. I completely agree with the review of if you are thinking of purchasing/renting in Jasmine, know the CC&R and Rules. Not all CC&R and Rules are for everybody. I love living in Jasmine! I have tried to make Jasmine a warm family friendly community and the phrase it takes a village will it takes a Jasmine community! 4.2 out of 5
4 out of 5 BIG mistake choosing this community! NOSEY neighbors who have no life of their own that try to get in your business all the time and look for something to gossip about. This place is full of loud loitering people and noisy parties all night long with no regard for other residents. The Security is a joke!!! The security guard like to join in on the noise and loitering and parties instead of putting an end to it and the management and HOA does absolutely NOTHING about it and will not even respond. The HOA sure likes to walk around looking for things to charge you for but are no where to be found when there's people partying and loitering. Just read the other reviews. The one good review was written by the person from HOA. DO NOTTTTTT MOVE HERE! Can't go outside with someone getting in your business. Where are you going? What are you doing? Your kid looks sad. Can't stay inside without the constant noise of loud loitering people and parties that they do nothing about.
