This newly transformed village is characterized by its expressive culture venues and uniquely positioned to provide visitors with the means to escape and create lasting memories.

Stirling has many open doors in the village that would surprise you. There are many distinctive shops and boutiques, relaxing cafes and restaurants and many thrilling events for visitors. The building where the Stirling Festival Theatre now makes its home was built in 1927 as a “community service building”. The upstairs hall immediately became a focal point for community social activities and meetings, ranging from the Women’s Institute to ballet classes. The auditorium initially served as Stirling’s movie theatre, but not many live performances were held in the 436 seat auditorium. That didn’t stop people from performing there. Many productions are now held there today and many more will be in the expected future. The Stirling Festival Theatre has camps for kids running through the summer; if you have dramatic kids, it’s a great way to get them involved. There is a Stirling Agricultural museum which delivers the feeling of what life used to be in the time of Blacksmiths, and General Stores.

The Museum runs from Victoria Day Weekend to Labour Day. Other events include the Farmers Market, The Water Buffalo foods festival, the Stirling Santa Claus Parade, and the Mill Pond Hockey Tournament. Stirling may be small, but don’t let looks deceive you. There are two family restaurants that appeal to the child in all of us, Jenny’s Country Lane and Platter’s Restaurant and Catering. Stirling-Rawdon offers a variety of retail including furniture, home decor, specialty gifts, antiques, women s clothing, baked goods, specialty foods, books and more. Drop by a local cafe during your shopping experience, or take in an afternoon of pampering at the spa. Between retailers and services within the village, you are bound to keep yourself entertained and active within this town! Students living in Stirling will be bussed into local schools in Belleville. Belleville has many schools that include IB programs, Arts Programs, French Immersion, and Catholic learning. Interested in this town and want to know more?
