Weischwill started Weischwill Real Estate in Yorktown, Texas, in the late 1950's. Working as a solo real estate broker, with the help of his wife and part time employees, Weischwill listed and sold farms, ranches, homes and commercial property. He was also a developer and builder. In 1976, Weischwill's son Mark graduated from college and moved back to Yorktown to join the family business. Father and son enjoyed great success working together until the oil/gas and savings & loan crisis of the early 80's, when the real estate market took a tremendous nose dive.
It was at this time that Mark purchased his uncle's independent insurance agency and combined the two businesses into one office. Unfortunately, M.W. Weischwill suffered a severe stroke in 1984. After a long rehab, he was able to function with partial paralysis. However, he was unable to return to work. Mark continued to run the insurance and real estate businesses on his own, with the help of one employee. Today, Weischwill Real Estate lists and sells land, homes and commercial property. We take a personal interest in all of our clients. Please feel free to explore this site for more information about our business and Real Estate Listings.
