If this is any indication of American manufacturing I'm horribly disappointed. The tail and eyes didn't work at all upon arrival. The fixed magnet in the pendulum device was not seated all the way in, and the coil providing the magnetic current was also positioned in the wrong place, consequently the magnet just rubbed on the coil preventing it from working at all. I'm a retired technician so was able to disassemble the whole thing, re-seat the magnet with a pair of pliers, re-position the coil back into the frame - twice- then put a dab of super glue on it so it would stay in place- and now it is working perfectly in my Granddaughter's bedroom. It's a very nice classic clock and my granddaughter loves it, hence the 4 stars. However if this was made in China not only would it probably be made better but would cost about $20 instead of the close to $50 I paid for it. I hope not everyone who buys this clock has the same issues, it's really cool once you can get it working.Read full reviewVerified purchase: Yes |
