MidWest Dachshund Rescue, Inc., dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and placing homeless and needy dachshunds and dachshund mixes in the Midwest. MWDR is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization serving Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin. The first step to working with MWDR is to fill out the adoption application which can be found at or you can request to have an application mailed or faxed to you by emailing . Once your application is received, the closest rescue representative will contact the personal references and veterinarian you included in your application. The next step would be a home check, where a rescue representative meets you and your family in your home. If everything checks out well, a rescue representative would help you find a rescued dachshund to adopt.
