Adopt-A-Pet of Buffalo, MNAbout UsAbout Us: Located on a farm outside Buffalo, Adopt-A-Pet is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for cats and dogs, ferrets, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even the occasional chicken (no reptiles). Janice Lee, the founder of Adopt-A-Pet, has been helping unwanted and abused pets since 1981. Janice lives on the premises, knows all the ...pets well, and would be very happy to help you and your family find a match. All the pets are fed quality food, spayed or neutered, are brought current on vaccinations, and cats are leukemia negative. Adopt-A-Pet has the best interest of the animals at heart and offers reasonable adoption fees, a health guarantee, and a return policy if a pet doesn't work out. We also have an outreach program. We offer low-cost spay and neuters using a sliding fee scale. Rest assured that although our adoption fees may be low, we have healthy, quality pets.

We keep our fees low so that families can afford to adopt the animal that is right for them. Our primary goal is to find great homes for great pets. Check out our list of adoptable pets!

Adopt-A-Pet of Buffalo, MNDogs and puppiesDogs have large outdoor exercise yards and are turned out four times a day for exercise instead of leaving the dogs sitting in their kennels. Most of the dogs are housebroken or well on their way to being housebroken. If dogs are not housebroken we will work on that. We also work on basic commands. Adoption fees for dogs and puppies are $75.00 and up. Adopt-A-Pet of Buffalo, MNCats and KittensAdopt-A-Pet houses an average of 35 or more cats and kittens at a time. They come in an assortment of breeds, fur lengths, and colors. All of the cats and kittens have wonderful dispositions and they are all very social. Some of the cats have a special room with a screened porch to watch birds and get some fresh air. Cats and kittens are all spay...ed/ neutered, checked for fleas and mites, leukemia negative, and current with their vaccines. They are also litter box trained. Adoption fees for cats and kittens are $40.00 and up.

She was a stray,11 yrs. old and is going blind. She had been at the shelter for at least a month before we saw her. Love at 1st sight. Special care was given to her, including an extra vet exam, due to extensive water drinking before she was given to us. We found the environment clean and pets well cared for. I’m a beautiful brindle girl and what adds to my beauty is that I’m somewhat petite. I’m approximately 4 years old. Originally I lived with another dog but since coming to the shelter I’ve decided I like the solo living. I’m a pretty chill girl and with a slow introduction, I just may change my tune and like having a buddy to live with. I’m not too sure though about having a cat as my friend. I get a little curious of the cats at the shelter,... but the moment I get to close, wham goes their paws. I’m very proud to say, I know my basic commands and nail them every time. You should check out my video on Instagram. I’m just a lovely lady who is super sweet with many kisses to give and have a secret passion, I love to go for sprints while out for my daily strolls; I love feeling the breeze on my face and my ears flopping in the wind. But don’t worry, if you prefer the casual stroll, I’m down with that too. I’m looking for my prefect home that involves me giving kisses in exchange for many belly rubs.

Come meet me at the shelter so we can see if there’s a connection, I’m sure I will win your heart. I'm spayed, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Minimum contribution expected is $300 Crossroads Animal Shelter added 2 new photos.I am the sweetest girl you will ever meet. I love to give head buts and snuggle up to you. I love to be held or sit on your lap, as long as I am close to you I am happy. I get along with other cats but dogs frighten me. I'm spayed, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and Feleuk Negative.
