We look forward to seeing you and finding our animals their forever home!Sharjah Cat & Dog ShelterWe cannot thank Suzanne and Mitchell enough for offering their home and hearts to little Daisy who has been treated so dreadfully her entire life.
Female dogs shouldn't ever have more 6 litters in their lifetime, and we suspect Daisy (who is about 5years old) has already had more than that. Then there's the terrible medical and physical neglect. Times have changed for little Daisy and we are chuffed to bits for her. ❤️❤️❤️Sharjah Cat & Dog ShelterHow, but how, does this happen!? This poor girl has evidently been used for excessive breeding and has not been treated for ringworm, hence the loss of all her fur, and was dumped at our doors suffering from a deathly case of heatstroke. Thanks.Sharjah Cat & Dog Shelter added a new photo to the album: SCADS Success Stories!Hi All, An initiative to adopt a Needed one and not the Breeded one ;) is worth a while. Meet our new tiny wholehearted member of the house "The Brat Buddy' TADA Someone came like a treat in our family - like a new baby, knowing us as his sole ones, growing day by day with an intangible bond ever. Our pooch Buddy met us in Dubai via an adoption day organized by SCADS in May 2014. He now acts unlike a boss of the house and plays as a friend in the ground. He was merely 30 days old when we welcomed him in our life (top right picture) and now being as important as us getting pampered throughout like my own baby to be precise. The biggest challenge we ever had was importing him all the way from UAE to India right from handling all the documentation ranging from Indian embassy to the Quarantine Department in Delhi but all well when it ends well and that shows.
Finally the little rascal is back and moreover ruling the house (hence need a trainer now ;). undoubtedly he is like a walking and talking company for us after experiencing this pleasant journey being a dog lover, we only can suggest to join hands to adopt these little beings to unfold the journey of unconditional love and affection u get by them :) Best Regards, Vikram Singh Sharjah Cat & Dog Shelter added a new photo to the album: SCADS Success Stories!Hi All, We have 3 female dogs adopted from SCADS. They are Daisy (left in the picture), Petals (the center) and Lily (white one on the right). We are more than happy to have adopted them. Best Regards, Julien Arnolda Sharjah Cat & Dog Shelter added a new photo to the album: SCADS Success Stories!Hi All, I brought Kiara home in 2012 after spending a day trying to find her a home at the Pet Show, and I'm not exaggerating when I say she's the perfect dog - loving, obedient, quiet, and gentle with everyone. And then last year, something possessed me to bring home Hurricane Panda.
Both dogs are like night and day - while one listens, the other will run away; Kiara can be quiet as a mouse, but Panda will bark her head off if a leaf flutters too loudly. She's chewed through... every bed and cushion she's had in the past year and a half, not to mention all the door frames, several items of furniture, and her own dog crate before finally beginning to settle down. She's a lovable, comical loon, loves to play anytime of day, and always wants to snuggle. Both my monkeys complete each other and our family and I wouldn't give them up for anything. Hi everyone, This is the story of Rose. We believe she came from a Chihuahua farm where she had very little to no positive human contact but we had a feeling that she would enjoy a life with us and so we happily welcomed her into our family almost one year ago. A lot has changed since she arrived. In the beginning, she was scared and distrustful of everything – us, stairs, toys, sofas…the list goes on. She sought solace in our other dog - Roger and my shoe collection, the... latter of which she loved to target for chewing practice. As the months passed, the transformation began. In that time her personality emerged and she is now a bright, energetic and loving dog, happy to sit in a lap and get lavished with belly rubs and attention. We would whole-heartedly recommend adoption. You don’t need to be a dog expert to qualify but you do need to be capable of giving both love and patience. Taking in any animal is a commitment but the reward is well worth any sacrifice, even if you lose a few pairs of shoes along the way.
Best Regards, Laura Farrant Sharjah Cat & Dog Shelter added a new photo to the album: SCADS Success Stories! We adopted her on the 9th May 2015 from SCADS and we couldn't be happier. She fit perfectly in my hand, when we first got her home and and now she takes up the whole sofa when stretched out! She's a crazy ball of energy who loves to bark, grumble and run around like a loon but she also loves to sit on you and cuddle any way she can. She's a big softie and adores to kiss (licking) and play fighting. She definitely keeps us laughing every day. The shelter were extremely helpful sorting her injections and spaying and we even got her DNA tested there. Thank you SCADS, from the Bright Family. Xx Sharjah Cat & Dog Shelter added a new photo to the album: SCADS Success Stories!Hi All, I had spent a lot of indecisive months debating whether or not I was ready to adopt a dog, then I walked Sunshine at SCADS and knew instantly she was the one for me. Energetic, excited, intelligent and completely adorable, she listened on the first walk and still listens now.
The first two weeks of adjustment were very difficult, mainly me being so unsure about the responsibility I’d taken on, but now I wouldn’t be without her. She’s the love of my life. Dogs are wonderful animals and once you let them into your heart, give them your trust and time, they teach you unstoppable loyalty, admiration and compassion. She also makes THE best work-out partner. I’m very grateful to SCADS and whoever the person was that dumped her, because if they never did – we would never of found each other ❤❤❤ Best Regards, Kerry Sharjah Cat & Dog Shelter added a new photo to the album: SCADS Success Stories!Hi All, I already had four rescues at home when I saw Peggy cowering at the back of a cage just after some surgery. She was dumped at SCADS for being ..wait for it..."too big".. Admittedly I was struggling with the four I already had but I figured that if I could manage four I could manage four and a quarter. She might be tiny but she has the biggest personality of them all, and at times it's got her into a lot of trouble.
