CITY OF ANGELS POMERANIAN CLUB - ESTABLISHED IN 1981 City of Angels Pomeranian Club Get the word out on available dogs and fundraising events by following their blog and adding their link to your webpage! The City of Angels Pomeranian Club has teamed with Southern California Pomeranian Rescue (SCPR), as a response to our club members concern for the breed. which maintains a safe, no-kill solution for Pomeranians which have been abandoned, lost, abused or for other reasons must be re-homed. SCPR's main objective is to spay or neuter and place rescued dogs in qualified pet homes. So far, since 2009, SCPR has been successful in placing over 400 Pomeranians. Each Pomeranian is spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations, tested for Heart Worm and have had any health issues addressed prior to being offered for adoption. Since SCPR does not have their own kennel facilities, the rescues must be placed in foster homes while awaiting adoption.

During this time the foster parent can observe the dog and document any temperament or health issues to help in making a decision on the type of home that would be most suitable. If you would like to be considered for a foster home please complete our questionnaire , and e-mail to Click here to see what SCPR has Available Subscribe to our Blog! We rescue dogs and all other animals who are suffering on the streets and in the shelters. We foster these animals in our home, cage free, until we can find them permanent, loving families. Our goal is to educate people on the importance of companion animals in our society to stop the cycle of animal neglect and abuse. They differ from animal shelters in that their rescued animals live with foster families until the perfect home is found and they usually only take cats and dogs. Adopting a dog or cat from a rescue group is a detailed process and usually includes a home visit or inspection and a play date with the prospective owner and pet to make sure everyone gets along.
