My name is Diana Cobb, I own and operate Premiere Roux (pronounced rooj). My husband, Shane, owns a successful construction company. We live in southern Missouri in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We truly enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities our rural area has to offer. The lakes, rivers for floating, hiking trails, and scenic views make this a great place to live. One of our favorite things to do is pack up the RV and explore a new destination. Since Shane and I do not have children the Dogues are always included in our adventures. Premiere Roux is a very small Dogue de Bordeaux show kennel. Although I use the term “kennel” here, none of our dogs live in a full-time kennel setting.

Our dogs are members of the family first and show dogs second. We occasionally have puppies for sale and from time to time have adults available. Our Dogue de Bordeaux puppies are raised inside our home with love and attention. Breedings are planned long in advance. Females are selectively bred to studs based on their compatible health, temperament, pedigree, and structural strengths/weaknesses. We are therefore just as selective when it comes time to finding forever homes for our wrinkled bundles of joy. We offer lifetime support for anyone who purchases a Premiere Roux puppy. Like many others, I was introduced to the Dogue de Bordeaux after seeing the cinematic classic Turner & Hooch. Ever since, I have been fascinated by the Dogue de Bordeaux. I made it my mission to learn as much as possible about this magnificent breed. My research served to reaffirm me of the fact that the Dogue de Bordeaux would fit perfectly in our lives. Research of the breed prepared me for the pros and cons associated with the Bordeaux-there are many of both!

One day we welcomed our first Dogue de Bordeaux into our family. Today I am fortunate enough to be involved in breeding as well as exhibiting the Dogue de Bordeaux. This being said, we find it to be absolutely necessary for anyone considering the purchase/adoption of a Dogue de Bordeaux to do their “homework” before acquiring one from a Dogue de Bordeaux breeder, or rescue organization. We all know of the countless dogs that are abandoned, or surrendered to shelters every year. So many of these cases are due to the fact that owners purchase a cute puppy without considering the special needs of that particular breed. Then later on find they cannot meet those needs. As responsible Dogue de Bordeaux breeder, to ensure that none of our puppies find themselves in this situation, Premiere Roux will welcome back any of its babies at any time should their owners be unable to keep them for any reason.Learn about the Dogue de Bordeaux on any one of our informational pages.
