With all the visibility we had with the pups that have frostbite, Miracle the kitty that was being consumed by fleas and completely malnourished & all our other devastating crisis situations we have seen, some of our "shares" were well over 30,000 people from just our 3,200 Facebook page community.

It was amazing to have that outpouring of love & concern for the tragic stories & photos that we share as well as all the little fur babies... that are thriving, healthy & just waiting patiently for a forever home. We, as animal lovers share the good & the bad stories with friends & family. I am going to put forth this idea.... We are really needing to be able to start building our shelter when the weather is warm so that we have it for next winter since we got nowhere near the funds we needed to make it this season.(The $400.00 we did already receive was a great start but not enough for a deposit to a builder) account that was set up last July. Its easy to find, just do a search of our name, North Country Animal Shelter Malone. /g8a2gu66p7y The photo shows a similar style we're hoping for, but larger. If anyone would consider donating $5.00 to our cause and share the $5.00 challenge with friends & family we could meet our goal in no time I'm certain. Thanks for considering being part of the challenge.

Courtney MonroetoNorth Country Animal ShelterI have started a fundraiser for the North Country Animal Shelter in Malone. They are in desperate need of a new shelter for the cold winters. When you purchase... a box of these cards, $13 goes to the shelter. Also, I will be donating 5% of the 10% commission I make. So for each box sold, $14.50 will go to the shelter! Save money now and time later by having cards on hand for all occasions! They are all handcrafted. So for $30, you are getting 30 beautifully embellished cards with matching envelopes, an organizer box with dividers, and you are helping a great cause. You can't beat that! Especially when cards in stores are $3-$5 EACH! I have posted below the types of boxes available for purchase as well as some pictures from the Thanks & Blanks box I received last week!!! ve gotten several inquiries on how our baby girl beagle is doing. Sorry the update didn't make the shelter page, but here it is now!Shirley MortonHello everyone... "Josie" is starting to feel so much better. She is on prednisolone now to help with pain. It is going to still be a long road to getting her t...otal health back. She is eating and drinking on her own now. She was definitely aboused. No doubt about that. She will go back to the vets next week for another e-val. We will see if she is well enough for an exray on her neck to see if she has any permanent damage. North Country Animal ShelterGood Morning, Michele had knee replacement surgery yesterday. She will be back on to answer all your questions and comments just as soon as she is up and about. Please be patient with us as she asked me to check on you all if you have questions on pets available for adoption or just questions. The thing is, I did promise I would. It has all ready taken me a 1/2 hour to figure out how to find them. No

We use this source to supplement our income. If we're not open you can always leave them at the gate. Werth Country Animal ShelterI was recently asked about those sad commercials you see regarding animal cruelty and the saving the ASPCA does for those situations. I

want it to be clear that the ASPCA is located in NYC. The commercials they put out don't indicate that and therefore several people assume that we benefit from them for the donations they receive. Unfortunately, we do not receive any donations from the ASPCA. It all stays right there in NYC.**We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter**. We rely... on the donations through the kindness of our friends of the shelter & adoption fees. We don't get "discounts" on medical issues and spay & neuter. We apply for Grants with different organizations, but there are so many shelters applying that we haven't benefited at all. We appreciate every single dollar we receive. This is to clear up the confusion that it is assumed that we benefit from the ASPCA. Our biggest fundraiser is our Raffle that we do each year to supplement all of our expenses. Our Fill-A-Truck event that happens really makes an impact on supplies. We are diligently hoping to raise enough money for new outside kennels, however that will not come to fruition this year. It
