The Pet Place is behind the WalMart SuperCenter on Highway 59 North. Our hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 till 5:00 and Saturdays by appointment.We have a large dog park for the public to use during our office hours.Our kittens are also located at Petsense pet store in the Kroger Shopping Center at highway 59/80.Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic twice monthly with low cost vaccinations. An application must be filled out before adoptions are granted.() Cat adoption fees range from $ 25.00 for those already spayed to $65.00 for those we pay to have spayed.Dog adoptions range from $25.00 for those already altered to $100.00 for those we pay to be fixed.No pet that has not been altered will be adopted outside of our county due to Texas State law requiring all pets to be altered that come from a shelter or rescue.

If they are to young we will adopt out locally so they can be brought back for surgery when they are old enough. The Society is housed at 1901 Jefferson Ave., Marshall, Texas at �The Pet Place,� a new facility housing abandoned and homeless cats and dogs. Adoption of these pets is a key goal of the Society. Private and government grants are sought to fund pet spay/neuter for financially disadvantaged families. Public school tours and presentations, combined with newspaper and radio promotion, are key elements to a broad education strategy for good pet care. A part-time facility director is the only paid personnel of the Society.

Sharkey, who is a Red Heeler Mix with an estimated birthday of 8/30/14, has excellent house manners and has been in the loving care of the wonderful Kenneth Medlin who found him dumped on his property.

One brindle and one white adult females need a new home! This is pretty Nikki. Nikki is white and Deena is the brindle girl. Nikki was dumped at our cat rescue friend's dads house by her original "rescuer". I do not know her full story, but the girl that supposedly rescued her and took her home did not keep her from her big dogs and they beat her up on several occasions. Nikki was quite young at the time. She has been at the dads house for a year. Nikki is great with kids and adults. She takes treats very gently and knows sit. She loves attention and will lean into you for a good rubbing. Nikki really enjoys relaxing in her swimming pools. She loves all of the nieces and nephews which there is a wide age range. She really wants to be a companion. The next door neighbors like her too and give her extra treats. She does good with the older female (Deena) that she shares the big yard with. Nikki is UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Nikki has been on advantage HW preventative and another brand.

Deena was Our friends Moms dog and since her death Nikki has been Deena's companion. Deena is great with kids, playful, friendly and super sweet. She is catahoula/cow dog. Deena also knows sit and will roll over. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines. If a home could be found for both girls together that would even be better, but the primary concern is Nikki. The dads girlfriends daughter dumps/ed her active border collie there quite a lot over the past year for the cat ladies to tend to. There was never any proper introductions or any supervision. The border collie was quite the pest. Well, Nikki and border got into it recently and now the dad wants Nikki gone. The Border is back with daughter for now. Nikki will bark at the fence and doesn't like it when neighbors dogs come over when the cat ladies are giving them all treats. (Mine do that when strange dogs are close to fence too.) The fenced yard goes all the way to a county road and it appeared that Nikki had been shot with buckshot in the fall.

This girl really needs a second chance. The border collie dog mom probably never had her on preventative and was HW+.
