Riverbend Labradoodles is the home of Chad and Kristi Coopshaw, and our Labradoodle Family. With over 20 years of experience, we have shared our labradoodle puppies with families across this Country, and around the world. As an Authentic Australian Labradoodle Breeder, we offer our Riverbend Australian Labradoodle puppies in Miniature sizes (20-35lbs), Medium sizes (30- 45lbs), and Standard sizes (45-60lbs). Because of our years of experience and success with our English Style Labrador Retriever breeding program, our Riverbend Labradoodles are stocky, heavy-boned, and have a beautiful, blocky style of head that gives them a soft, intuitive expression. Riverbend Labradoodles is an Ohio Labradoodle breeder, and a recognized Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA) Breeder with Gold Paw Status health certifications. As a current ALAA Board Member, we are proud to be involved with special projects focused on the development and health testing of the Australian Labradoodle breed.
We are also proud to belong to the Better Business Bureau, and hold the A+ rating, the highest rating award. Our commitment to quality and accountability to these organizations offers peace of mind in purchasing one of our Australian Labradoodle puppies. We have shared our Australian Labradoodle puppies with families in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Florida, New York, and more. Our Labradoodles have allergy friendly coats that are non-shedding, and we are dedicated to helping people with allergies add to their family. Our Labradoodles are known to have a laid- back, easy-going temperament, and are great family companions. They are intelligent and easy to train, and typically finish at the top of their obedience classes. Here at Riverbend, we have made it our focus to protect the health and future, while maintaining the integrity, of the Labradoodle breed. Our carefully planned breeding program is dedicated to quality, not quantity.
We believe it is of utmost importance to have OFA hip, OFA elbow, ACVO eye clearances, and also breed specific health clearances, as well as Champion Quality pedigrees within all of our dogs’ bloodlines, to ensure we have the healthiest Labradoodle Puppies possible. The concept of Your New Puppy was born in September of 2006 with my first store front in my home town of Kenton, OH.  That store served the Hardin Co. and surrounding areas for 3 years. In April of 2009 I opened my second store in Liberty Township (northern Cincinnati), OH.
Improving on the original YNP with better play areas for the customer and a self enclosed booth for the pups, that store still serves the greater Cincinnati area, also reaching into Kentucky and Indiana. The YNP kennel is located in Kenton, Ohio, situated on 17 acres, woods in the back to watch the deer, mostly pasture from the days of mini donkeys, Dexter cattle and Babydoll sheep and a 2 acre pond where two groups of Canadian Geese come every year to have their little ones. YNP, along with the other private Ohio licensed hobby breeders we now use, have been breeding family pets for over 10 years. Mark’s passion for animals started when he was only 13 and a member of his local 4-H club breeding and showing rabbits and guinea pigs. To bring you a better selection and choice to fit your family’s needs we have chosen to not specialize in any one or two breeds of dogs. Every breed has their benefit and every breed is right for the right person. Instead we have chosen to do a variety of breeds and mixes, all with their own unique personality and traits.
The popularity of “designer mixes” has increased, mostly due to the request of the customer asking for more options regarding less shedding and more commonly allergy issues. We have now come to specialize in “designer mixes” and boast the largest selection in the area. And while we do lean towards the smaller, companion pets, we do also have some larger breeds available. YNP strives to educate prospective buyers before they make a purchase. This is done several ways, first you will find an info sheet on every puppy telling you about litter information, personality, basic care, and general traits. You will also find a numerical allergy scale to let you know if a pup will or will not be good for those of you with allergy issues along with an activity scale. And of course our general knowledge of dogs. We are here to answer your questions and do encourage you to ask. We would rather you make a well informed decision then to make an emotional decision and regret it later. A puppy that does not fit your family’s needs is one that may get shuffled around from family to family and may sometimes end up in a shelter, we don’t want to see our dogs in a shelter.
