The Sonoma Humane Society prides itself on successful adoption rates because of the time we spend with you and your prospective pet upfront. First you must decide what type of animal is "right" for you. Are you more of a dog or a cat person or are you interested in a smaller animal like a rabbit, guinea pig or pocket pet? You must have a clear understanding of yourself, your family and your lifestyle to answer this question correctly. Many people need several visits before they can make the decision to adopt and we encourage you to take all the time you need to make your new relationship permanent.
