This is a great non slip solution for your laptop. Sticks firmly in place.Adds a little extra space that my laptop's little feet provide so only a tiny extra space, but still helpful. I used it on my laptop cooler to lift the laptop a bit higher for more airflow. Works fine, but the adhesive could be stronger.
I purchased these for my PS4. It was running hot and I bought these and an external device fan to increase air flow. awesome...used these on the bottom of my Samsung Ativ laptop to keep it from sliding off my lap on the train. Does the trick, highly recommend. Was not too sure in the beginning of what I thought of these. Now that they are on I can respect their beauty. I usually don't bother to write reviews on products but i had to get on here and say something. The feet look great on my MacBook Pro and i feel a lot safer placing it down on...Lets me put my laptop down without worry about jostling delicate inner mechanisms too much, saves me from scratching it up. I've visited eBay and although the prices are phenomenal, they have the balls to list their items as genuine when they aren't. I'm hesitant to buy aftermarket copies for obvious reasons. So if any one out there has some good sources, chime in. Posted 04 May 2016 - 12:09 AM I need to replace the keyboard to an HP 8540p and wanted to get new rubber feet. I suppose I should just buy the knockoffs since I can't seem to find the real thing. Something tells me even if I do it'll be a pretty penny. Posted 04 May 2016 - 02:48 AM You may have already done this, but my suggestion would be:- 1) Get the HP Maintenance & Service Guide from here:- 2) Identify the part numbers of the items you want, e.g. US Keyboard 595790-001, Rubber Kit 595785-001 3) Google these part numbers to find suppliers You may also want to try these:- Edited by rqt, 04 May 2016 - 01:58 PM. Posted 04 May 2016 - 09:45 PM Some of the parts on eBay are refurbished or pulled from other laptops. They are genuine but used. You are correct you will likely pay a high price for a new genuine HP part. You may get lucky and the keyboard fits several models so it will be more readily available. Get the replacement part number off the back of the keyboard (Aka the FRU) as mentioned above and search for them.
Edited by Sneakycyber, 04 May 2016 - 09:46 PM. Posted 06 May 2016 - 10:41 PMYeah, after weighing the options I just can't justify the higher price for the "real thing". From what I can tell all the keyboards look almost identical to the HP version except for different manufacturing labels and the blue touch pointer. I figure that since it's an external piece that not much can go wrong - hopefully - if I do get the fleabay version. After all even the real ones are made in China. What's amazing is that the connectors are just ribbons that slide into place. Posted 06 May 2016 - 11:17 PM Thanks RQT, I downloaded the file and of all things they didn't have any serial numbers for the rubber feet. They aren't solid rubber actually, their core is plastic and they have a key way so that they are clocked/mounted a certain fashion. All this for rubber feet, but exemplifies quality build. Posted 07 May 2016 - 03:40 AM On my HP laptop (a 6830S) the feet are part of the rubber kit listed in the parts list - this also includes the rubber covers for some of the screws in the base & the screws around the display bezel.
