Nursing Education (RN) – (AD) degree Program – West Haven (Ogden) Campus Program outcomes are developed as performance indicators which provide evidence that the SHC – Associate Degree Nursing program is meeting the mission and goals set by administration and faculty. The program outcomes have been developed using the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) criteria as guidelines. At the completion of their program of learning, the following outcomes will be achieved: Seventy five percent (75%) of nursing graduates will rate their overall satisfaction with their program at or above 3.5 out of 5.0 on the Nursing Graduate End of Program Satisfaction Survey (6-12 months after graduation).
Seventy five percent (75%) of nursing employers will rate their overall satisfaction with SHC nursing graduates at or above 3.0 out of 5.0 on the Nursing End of Program Employer Satisfaction Survey (6-12 months after graduation). At least 75% of students will complete the nursing course portion of the program within 17 months. Our students’ rate of passing the NCLEX licensing exam for Registered Nurses on the first writing of the exam will be equal to or greater than the national pass rate. The nursing programs 3-year mean for NCLEX exam pass rates will be at or above the national mean for the same 3-year period. At least 75% of nursing graduates will be employed in the nursing profession or enrolled in an advanced program within six months of graduation.
