Save Time and Labor Titan Abrasive media blasting recovery systems can save time and labor, as well as reduce abrasive and abrasive disposal costs. Installing a Titan abrasive recovery system in your new or existing blast room can pay for itself in a few months. Expendable abrasives, such as slag, are inexpensive to purchase but can become very costly in the long run. These low cost abrasives break down quickly, often after just one use, requiring constant replacement. The used abrasive dust must be cleaned up and packed for disposal, which can become very costly, especially if classed as hazardous waste. All of these tasks combine with the labor required to perform them can diminish profits quickly. Recyclable abrasives are more costly to purchase, but can save a lot of money over time.
More durable recyclable blast media such as, aluminum oxide, glass bead, crushed glass, garnet, plastic, steel grit or steel shot, can be used over and over, from 6 to 200 times. The use of an abrasive recovery system combined with recoverable blast media can provide a substantial return on investment (ROI). Reusable media are also faster acting and less dusty, which translates to increased productivity and a cleaner work environment. Recycling blast abrasives saves money by reducing waste. Are you tired of Mother Nature dictating when you can blast outdoors? Blast all day, every day, without the unwanted attention of neighbors or the EPA with a Titan abrasive recovery system. Reclaimers are divided into two categories, vacuum recovery systems and mechanical media blast recovery systems. The differences are discussed below. Titan sweep-in recovery systems are an economical alternative to full-floor recovery systems. They can be installed in an existing blast room or ordered with a new blast enclosure.
A sweep-in media reclaim system automatically cleans recyclable abrasives, through use of a cyclone separator, and returns clean, good media, back to the blast machine. Blast operators continue to blast until significant media builds up on the floor of the blast room; then they simply sweep the abrasive into the recovery system, using brooms, shovels, compressed air or even a skid steer. The media will be vacuumed up, cleaned and returned to the blast pot and the operator can go back to blasting. Sweep-in or pneumatic recovery systems rely on the use of cyclone separators and work best with lighter abrasives such as, glass bead, aluminum oxide, garnet or plastic. If you’re going to be using steel grit or steel shot you may want to consider using a Titan mechanical media recovery system shown below. • 6 cu ft media blaster with remote control system • 6 cu ft media storage hopper • Sweep-in floor hopper • Cartridge Dust Collector • 50’ Media Blast hose with couplings
• All necessary connecting hoses VRS (without dust collector, can be tied into main dust collection system) Titan mechanical recovery systems come complete with bucket elevator, air-wash separator and vibrating screen.Depending on your needs, our bucket elevator recovery systems can be configured with one or two media blast machines, or as a stand-alone unit to use with your existing blast pot. These systems are most commonly used with shot blasting. Titan bucket elevators can process up to 200 cubic feet per hour of dense and coarse media, such as steel grit and steel shot. Our hopper and bucket elevator recovery systems can be flush mounted for easy loading by placing the elevator and hopper in a small pit. If a high water table is a concern, the system can also be wall-mounted and shovel fed. The addition of a screw conveyor to replace the hopper is available as an option. • Bucket elevator with air-wash separator and vibrating screen • 12 cu ft media storage hopper configured for two blast machines
