A BRIDAL store has been handed a top accolade less than a year after opening for business. George James, in Bedford's Harpur Street, was voted Best in the East of England by experts at the Wedding Industry Awards. Owner Nicola Weeks now goes through to the national finals in London in January 2016. She said: "I am so excited to have been voted for by professionals in the wedding business - especially as I am a newcomer having only opened my shop in January. Did you know. . . "I like to think that I put brides centre stage in the lead up to their big day in the spotlight," said Nicola, who is getting married herself in 2016.

What can I say, i first met Natalina without making an appointment with the shop she was so helpful made me feel so at eased trying wedding dress on for the first time, i choose three dresses with the intention of trying them on again with my friends the following week. when i went back Natalina had put together five different dresses that she felt was better for me and she was right she knows her stuff. I had no intention of buying a dress after only been engaged four weeks but i looked so good i had to buy it ten months before the wedding. Rachel was good as well i met her once to do my fitting she was very helpful. I would highly recommend Hammonds. Oh my goodness got my dress from them 20 years ago they altered it and I said I hated it as it was not altered correctly and when I asked for a refund they wouldn't hear of it!!! I then asked to choose a different one they said no, so I ended up with that dress and every time I look at my photos I still regret buying from them. A woman was wearing a black dress with a white trim which has been washed and the black has ran onto the white it looked horrific and she was trying to give me styling advice how silly. Disappointed as its suppose to be a magical experience Please do not put your trust in these people, they are lovely when you go to choose a dress but once they have your money they don't care if your dress fits, don't care if it comes on time and are rude and nasty if you get concerned about the most important dress you will ever buy.
