It’s been an exciting week here at the Ivory & Co. offices… We have been working hard to finalise all the latest adverts which are due to appear in the next issues of 3 of the major national bridal magazines. Stunning images have been used from all the latest photo shoots to show some of our beautiful designer wedding dresses.  We have organised a whole new media plan for the next 18 months so expect to see lots more full page glossy adverts for our bridal wear range and for our tiaras and accessories too! We have loved working with these national publications and can’t wait to see the new adverts in print – so look out for the new issues of You & Your Wedding, Wedding, and Perfect Wedding magazines to see the new look Ivory & Co. campaign… It’s an exciting day here at Ivory & Co!  Tomorrow for the first time our brand new dress designs will be unveiled to brides at the Designer Day we are attending at Krystle Brides at Bath. All the beautiful new styles will be available for brides to see and try on.  

There are stunning new styles from our Haute Couture Collection – dresses with classic styling, huge dramatic trains and flattering silhouettes to give a tiny waist.  These are made in fabulous fabrics – pure silk organza, and silk satins. There are also new styles from our Heritage collection, 1920’s inspired bridal gowns that could have stepped right out of The Great Gatsby.  This is right on trend for all the brides wanting that Art Deco look that is so in fashion.  These are floaty stylish dresses in silk chiffon and with soft silk draping cowl backs and glittering crystal accents. As many of you know although we have been best known over the years for our tiaras and wedding accessories, this year saw the launch of our first collection of Ivory & Co. bridal wear. (Fashion and bridal design is what I majored in at university nearly 20 years ago and since then I worked in fashion in London and New York so I was really going back to my roots this year with this venture).

Since I got back from honeymoon it has been a hive of activity here sending the first deliveries of dresses to the wonderful bridal boutiques that placed their orders at the Harrogate trade show in Autumn. Today is an exciting day as we got the call from one of these stores to say that a bride had ordered one of our designs!  What makes this even more special and unexpected is that the shop in question – June Brides in Glasgow – only received the dresses this Saturday and the bride selected it that very same day! The bride chose one of our favourite designs – ‘Veronique’ which is a 1950’s style tea length dress in stunning silk organza with a lace bodice (see pictures below). So many thanks to June Brides for being the first to sell one of our beautiful dresses and good luck to the bride herself – we hope you have a wonderful wedding this summer… It’s time for our weekly recommendation of the best bridal boutiques in the UK…. After just a year of The Pantiles Bride opening they had won the Best Newcomer Award and have since won a total of 10 awards in the space of 4 years including the Best Emporium Award for the Millennium! As well as this flagship store, there are also the sister stores Go Bridal in both Tunbridge Wells and Birmingham City Centre. So if you are based in these areas and still looking for that perfect dress we couldn’t recommend a better place to start!
