What's life without music? I wouldn't even want to imagine it, especially because I love to dance. For me, Philip Glass is a wizard who casts dancing spells. I consider this American composer a gift to our generation, and through his dance pieces, I have had some of the most rewarding and memorable dancing experiences of my life. Needless to say, he is my all-time favorite when it comes to dance music. If you love dancing, I highly recommend Glass' “In the Upper Room”, which is a set of 9 dance tracks. It's a great collection even if you are trying to introduce yourself to his work. The orchestra dance pieces are just wonderful, just as many of his works, which is why he is also one of the most notable composers of the 20th century. I don't mean to oversell his work but, if these dance music tracks don't at least get you bopping, I don't know what will. My love for Philip Glass dance music aside, another thing I take very seriously when it comes to dancing is shoes. I know shoes don't make the dancer, but I have found that having the right shoes really makes the experience many times better.

Still, it has a ways to go. I'd like to see crossfading and equalizer settings within the application. Also, I'd like to be able to add more than 1,000 songs to a playlist, as for some reason, there is a limitation here. Otherwise, I won't ever use Spotify again. I love this app too much to be able to listen on my desktop, my laptop, Xbox One, Windows Phone, iPhone, Android, and other tablets like my Surface. Keep up the great work, Microsoft! The best, and yet it keeps getting better. I used iTunes for 5 years and had an iPhone for 2.5 of those years. Then I finally got a Windows Phone (which I highly recommend, btw) and discovered Groove Music, formerly known as Xbox Music.Blows iTunes out of the water. It's smooth, it's fast, and best of all, it's flexible- it doesn't matter where it's from, if you just copy and paste any music in a supported file type, Groove will automatically import it. This includes iTunes music and even any files you just download from the Internet.

In addition, Groove lets you choose whether to purchase what you want forever, or purchase a Groove Music Pass if you want it to be more like Spotify/Pandora. Personally, I prefer to just purchase what I want, but it's great to be able to choose at any time. Overall, Groove Music is highly recommended, and Microsoft continues to update it with new features and fixes. I'm happy to say I will only be using Groove from now on. I like the variety of different artists. I don't like the repeat of the same song in the lists given Useful & Delivers What's Promised I've been using Xbox Music/Groove for a long time now as a paid subscriber. I've seen it go from a reliable but lackluster app, to a glitzy and underperforming app, back up to a reliable and actually pretty interesting music platform. I get a pretty great music variety, good music matching, and absolutely solid OneDrive integration. I think Groove's been offering the most feature-complete music service for the longest period of time compared to competitive services.

Right now, the only real frustration I have is I keep intermittently finding songs that have their ID3 tags changed to match some other song, which is fortunately usually just form the artist's actual album to some compilation album. As well, sometimes licenses don't automatically renew on songs I haven't played for a long time, forcing me to delete and re-add those songs. The issues are so infrequent that I find it a very good value for my home computer, my tablets, and my phone on the go & in the car. Beautiful UI and Integration with Windows Lock Screen Groove's GUI looks pretty with Art works, run smoothly on my old PC, and it is integrated into lock-screen and volume-adjustment makes the listen music experience much better in Windows 10 with anniversary updates. It would be perfect if there is free for listening music like in Spotify even without purchasing a pass. Getting better - but still not as good as the Zune App I was a big fan of the old Zune App. It was simple, intuitive and had a flow to it.

I like Microsoft and I have stuck with them through the transition from Zune to Music to Groove and I think that with each iteration its getting better, but... its kind of sad that its getting better and closer to something that we had years ago. I like it, and keep improving it, but maybe take a look at what you had and bring some of that thinking and design forward. I can't be the only one that longs for the Zune Music App of old.
