American Bully is a breed of domestic dog that was developed by breeding the American Pit Bull Terrier with American Staffordshire Terrier. This breed of dog is considered confident without being aggressive and very much wants to please its owners. It can be a very intelligent guard dog as well. If provoked, this breed will fight to the death to defend itself and its owners. To successfully raise an American Bully, the owner must be firm and confident in order to establish itself as “alpha male.” There are 5 categories of the American Bully – pocket, standard, extra-large, extreme and classic. American Bully’s need daily exercise and have a life expectancy of 8 – 12 years. I'm sorry, there are no American Bully breeders that we have located in Alabama. Bama Bully Rescue is a volunteer-run organization with members located all across the state of Alabama. We do not have one central location or a kennel. The dogs listed on our site are kept in foster homes, however some of our urgent dogs are stuck in shelters in Alabama. We work with many different Alabama shelters to try and give these dogs a chance at finding a home instead of automatically facing the euthanasia table. At this time, BBR is the only Bully specific rescue located in Alabama. While many of our volunteers do have experience in Bully rescue, we still need help in our mission. We hope that you will support us in our mission whether its by donating, recommending us to your friends, becoming a foster home or volunteer (whether it is full time or part time), joining the AL Pit Bull Lovers group, or even joining us as a friend on Myspace. There are many Bullies out there who need our help, and we need your help to help them. An adoption application must be completed. Upon doing an initial screening of your application, a BBR volunteer will be in contact with you through the e-mail address that you provide on the application.

After the initial screening is completed, a vet reference will be checked (provided the applicant has had pets in the past). The last step is a home visit, usually done by a BBR volunteer.Upon adoption/transfer, an adoption contract will be signed. Welcome To Rottins ....THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS....Home of the American Bullies & Highlander/Highland Lynx CatSome Highlander/Highland Lynx cats have  polydactyl feet(extra toes).  They have a dog-like personality(they will come when you call them, they will beg for food, they even play fetch, they can be leash trained & even toilet trained).They are very intelligent and very active.   They are very muscular and their back legs are longer than their front legs...The average weight of a Highland Lynx is 20-25 lbs for a male and females 10-17 lbs. They dont reach full maturity until the age of 3 yrs.   Timberline Cattery is responsible for the development of the breed having the first litter of kittens in July 1995.  All Cats/Kittens are registered w/TICA/REFRAll our dogs are champion bred  UKC American BulliesThe Highlander/Highland  Lynx was developed to reflect the look of a Bobcat.  

To create this look, an east coast breeder bred what was then called a Desert Lynx, another breed that resembles a wild cat,  to a Jungle Curl.  These Jungle Curls were polydactyl cats that also carried the dominant curl gene in their ears.  These cats are believed to have developed a different or at least a spontaneous curl mutation on their own, just as the curled cats that were discovered in Canada in the 1950's.  According to original documentation, different breeds including domestic shorthairs were used to create the Desert and Highland Lynx.  Though there have been claims of wild/domestic hybridization being used, there are no documented fertility issues in any of these cats.Welcome to Rottins a World Renowned Cattery & Kennel with animals in over 45 states & 5 countries.  We take pride in raising outstanding highlander/ highland lynx cats, American XL Bully Dogs.  We are a family owned cattery & kennel.   We have been breeding these incredible animals for more than a decade now.
