Thee Buss wins Best of Breed at West Coast Finals Thee Buss won a Best of Breed at West Coast Finals show today and finished 2015 with 35 wins! One shy of tying the single-season... Thee Buss wins two Best in Shows in Columbus, Ohio Thee Buss has been on the good boy list this year and fared well in Ohio today, winning two Best of Breeds and a Best in Show. There were gifts under a Christmas tree for the best in show winners and ours was a new Canon T5 digital camera with two new lenses!

Thee Buss wins Best of Breed at Bully Olympics Thee Buss continued his winning ways yesterday in Long Beach. He won a Best in Breed in his 8th consecutive event and against extremely tough competition! I am very proud of Thee Buss and of course the Bully Worlds favorite bachelor, Young Nubbz, for doing a great job handling as always. Edgar Robert Wilton‘s Bully Breed Clothing Queen Mary shows have become some of the biggest and yesterday was no different. Droves of people poured in... Thee Buss wins Best in Show in Fairfield, Ca October is a wrap so that means we are coming down the home stretch and Thee Buss is picking up momentum at just the right time. He won another Best of Breed and Best in Show yesterday in Northern California. That’s at least one Best of Breed in the last 7 events he has attended! 

Jonathon Houfek, David Doubenmier, Cassandra Lee and myself have been working overtime with all the dogs lately and it has been paying dividends. Thee Buss wins Best in Show in Highland, Illinois Young Nubbz and Thee Buss rolled in to Illinois and won a Best of Breed and Best in Show today. He has been doing awesome the past few weekends. Like his daddy, Beastro, he’s picking up momentum at just the right... Thee Buss cruises to Houston, wins two best in shows Thee Buss and Nubbz made the long trip out to Texas over the weekend and it paid off. They didn’t get the green Bully Masters jacket but they did win two best in shows and some rad trophies. Thanks to each everyone that made the show possible and major congrats to Connie Thompson for winning the green jacket with her Shorty bull. I wanted that thing!... Honestly breeding is not something I want to do much in lif...e, I created what I felt was my personal idea of this breed and achieved my goal.

It was never for a financial purpose. The ABKC was set up to promote this breed and give it standards, criteria, pedigrees, and ways to compete and display this breed. Basically it validated the breed and gave it its foundation as a true breed, The future is to preserve and protect the breed. It was not meant for me to be the face or for any personal gains or purposes. This is why in recent years I've taken steps back so it can run for its true purpose and independent of me or one person. There are many faces for this breed and registry and that is how it was meant to be. With that being said I have been less and less active, but I am seeing today there is a need to back up and bring back some very important basics. Over the next year I will be working on informational media to help get this breed back on a track of preservation. Hopefully you all will enjoy what the future has to hold. Thank you all for the many years of support and much Respect. To get things started and some food for thought here are 3 important things all breeders should do and all consumers should request.

1. DNA Profiling: This is very inexpensive for a breeder and something all breeders should do. Basically DNA validates parentage. Every one purchasing a puppy should have this provided by the breeder. Don't fall for that "my word is all that should be needed", that is an excuse and a defensive breeder is not to be trusted. This is cheap to do and especially if selling dogs for the prices these dogs sell for it is nothing. There is absolutely no reason to not DNA profile your dogs and your litters. All consumers should request and demand this or breeders will continue to scam people. DNA Profiling is only valid through your registration company which I'd hope is ABKC. ABKC works with the DDC who is the most reliable DNA company in existence. DNA profiling is something all respectable breeders should provide. 2. Hip and Elbow testing: Whether you chose OFA or PennHIP in this breed it is a necessity. This breed has become a very front heavy breed and emphasis on rears is being lost. The rear is the most important in this breed, it is where movement begins, its the base of power and strength, its essential for balance and function.

The front legs and especially elbows and pasterns are what support the heavy fronts and support the dogs. Dysplasia is a serious problem in our breed and unless you check your dogs you may not realize they are displastic. This will affect your dogs movement, function, and eventually cause your dog to be lame. Aside from that your dog lives in constant pain and walking and standing become difficult. Simple inexpensive checks can tell this and before any breeder matches two dogs this should be a must! This is a hereditary trait and breeding dogs that are displastic will only make the next generation worse and worse, which is happening to our breed at alarming rates. In time we will have a breed that cannot walk. Any good breeder can easily get their dogs checked prior to breeding and provide the certifications of the dogs. The ABKC acknowledges both OFA and PennHIP certifications and will add them to pedigrees. This shouldn't even be a question and any responsible breeder should be doing this.

3. Cardiac Certification: There are many different tests and certifications offered and ABKC also accepts them and adds them to pedigrees. Dogs with enlarged hearts, bad valves, serious murmurs all will affect the dogs life and most will die young or live a very short life if at all. These are simple inexpensive tests that all breeders should do on adults and puppies. Absolutely no excuse or reason not to. There is no reason why you not do these 3 simple things as a breeder and no reason as a consumer you should purchase a dog with out these. We should have proof of parentage, proof of health especially heart, And proof of function and be displastic free. Doesn't every one want a dog that can live a normal functional life? Just some food for thought, but again over the next year we will get more in detail and more informative.
