Homes For Sale On Audubon Street New Orleans

Learn more about homes in New Orleans, LA About New Orleans Louisiana New Orleans is undergoing a profound renaissance, as even parts of the Lower Ninth Ward are reopening for a growing population. Today, the housing market is considered by many experts in the field to represent a major growth opportunity for dedicated investors. The principal reason is its enduring ties to a bygone architectural era some consider the South's Golden Age. Founded in 1718 long before our own Constitution was drafted, New Orleans has always represented America's richest mix of French and Spanish influences. The 18th century saw 40 years of Spanish rule, followed by another few years under the thumb of Napoleon. The Louisiana Purchase finally brought this part of the nation under our flag, but not before a number of dazzling buildings and the birth of Creole culture left their mark on this landscape forever. At the turn of the 20th century, New Orleans led the charge into the Big Band Era and thence to the birth of jazz.
Head into the French Quarter today and you may still be met with Spanish buildings, soaring mansions and the kind of soulful music that makes this neighborhood one of America's most distinctive. No wonder New Orleans has long been considered one of the great cultural hubs of the South. Today New Orleans is on the rise again, and the real estate opportunities have never been more promising. Whether you are looking for downtown loft space or something altogether historic on the town's agrarian fringe, you may be thrilled with the listings this resolute city has to offer. See you this weekend!BIG EASY ESTATE SALE - GORGEOUS OLD METAIRIE HOME Starts On 9/2/2016 on June 10, 2016 The house feels like a friendly museum with great furniture and beautiful flowers and trees all around the house. The garden area in back is so relaxing! The house was so quiet and peaceful throughout our stay despite the rooms being occupied. The St Charles streetcar line was only a few blocks away. The walk to and from, no matter the time of day or night, was quite safe.
The Southern style mansions in this part of town were enjoyable also. You MUST stay here!! Great place - Great Lady on May 25, 2016 I was situating my two girls at Loyola and found this amazing house and wonderful lady, Barbara makes you feel at home it was very pleasant in fact I wanted to stay there from Florida. on November 27, 2013 We had a lovely three night stay in November, 2013. The Uptown location was great for us and we felt safe walking around the neighborhood. Several good restaurants are close by and it is also easy to access public transportation. We enjoyed privacy and a comfortable room at the B and B. The innkeeper, Barbara, made us feel at home. We loved her little dog, Chico. Doing It the Right Way on January 12, 2013 Audubon Park House is our home away from home. Barbara is not just your owner/proprietor, she is your friend. Located in a beautiful, quiet, residential Uptown neighborhood just a short walk from the St. Charles Avenue streetcar, Audubon Park, Tulane, and Loyola, Barbara and Auduon Park House have hosted my wife and me 15 times for six days or longer between April, 2005 and December 2012.
This B&B is comfortable, quiet, and always filled with interesting quests with whom you can kibbutz during breakfast around the dining room table. (No topic is out of bounds.) In short, Audubon Park House and Barbara (and adorable pet pomeranian "Chico") exude personality and serve as wonderful complements to the music, food, sports, people, excitement, and soul of the city of New Orleans. on May 01, 2012 I felt welcome and at home the moment I stepped inside this bed and breakfast. The close proximity to the street cars, park and university made my visit so much more enjoyable and possible. There really was no need to call a cab to get to Magazine street or the French Quarter because a short walk through the lovely neighborhood lead me right to the street cars while also letting me take in the view. The relaxed environment allowed me to come and go with ease which was great because the mixture of visiting friends and sight seeing came with unpredictability. The security is very good (each room gets its own key) and the private bathrooms are nicely kept.
The price of my stay was way too good to pass up and I will definitely come back again! Like staying at a friends home on April 04, 2012 I stayed here for 5 days in March 2012 and found it delightful. Audubon Park, 2 blocks away, is a wonderful place to go for a walk or run. Massive live oaks provide shade. The host is very relaxed and makes you feel at home immediately. The house is full of furniture but I found the room and the attached bath very satisfactory. The neighborhood is very quiet but it's easy to catch a streetcar to downtown or elsewhere. It's in an area of town where there are almost no other guest houses and the rates are reasonable. I'm sure I'll go there on my next trip to the city. Terrific value and great company on March 20, 2012 This place is just fascinating. Old and funky...filled with terrific clutter. Barbara is a gracious hostess who leads her half-dozen eclectic guests through delightful breakfast conversations. Close to everything in a quiet neighborhood, this is a wonderful value.
