Topshop has agreed to stop using 'stretched' mannequins to display skinny jeans in stores after coming under fire from shoppers who said the figures were not representative of real bodies. The company received a barrage of complaints after a photograph of one mannequin was posted online by a disillusioned customer. Laura Berry wrote an open letter to Topshop's Facebook page after being shocked by the 'ridiculous' proportions of the model's legs when shopping in the Cribbs Causeway store in Bristol. Her views were shared hundreds of times with more than 1,000 people weighing in on the debate before Topshop replied, claiming that the model was based on a ladies size 10. It however admitted the mannequin had been made taller for 'impact' and agreed not to order it again. Topshop faced criticism after a shopper posted this image of a mannequin to its Facebook page to claim it was projecting unrealistic body image expectations. Retailer admitted it was not meant to reflect average figures

Miss Berry took to social media to air her grievances with the company, describing its mannequin as 'frankly ridiculously shaped' Miss Berry posted her complaint last night after being turned off from buying a pair of her favourite jeans because of the mannequin's dimensions. Taking to the Topshop Facebook page, she wrote: 'Dear Topshop, having been paid yesterday, I decided to spoil myself by purchasing a new pair of my favourite Jamie jeans. Laura Berry complained to the retail giant about the mannequin on Wednesday 'However, I was stopped in my tracks by the mannequin in the picture I've shared with this post,' going on to describe the proportions as 'frankly ridiculously shaped.' 'Young women aspire to the somewhat cult image your store offers. Which I'm sure you're aware by your sales figures and hashtags on Instagram. Yet not one mannequin in your store showed anything bigger than a size 6,' she continued. 'Perhaps it's about time you became responsible for the impression you have on women and young girls and helped them feel good about themselves rather than impose these ridiculous standards.

'Thanks for reading this, Laura. P.s just so you know, after taking this picture I used my size 10/12 legs to walk straight out of your store.' Her comment was shared hundreds of times and prompted more than 1,000 other comments.Topshop initially asked for details to contact Miss Berry privately but later posted a public response in which it admitted using mannequins with unrealistic proportions.'This particular style is used in small number of our stores and is based on a standard UK size 10,' its response read. 'The overall height (187cm) is taller than the average girl and the form is stylised to have more impact in store.'As the mannequins are solid fibreglass, their form needs to be of certain dimensions to allow clothing to be put on and removed easily; this is therefore not meant to be a representation of the average female body.' TOPSHOP MANNEQUIN DIMENSIONS Height: 6ft 1in (187cm) Average UK woman's height: 5ft 3 (160cm) It then agreed not to order the mannequins again in light of shoppers' comments.

'We have taken yours and other customers’ opinions and feedback on board and going forward we are not placing any further orders on this style of mannequin.' Topshop would not comment on the issue further when contacted by MailOnline and refused to disclose whether they ordered the same size of mannequin across all its stores. While many of the other users echoed Miss Berry's comments, others accused her of insulting more petite women. 'What's wrong with being a size 6 or displaying a size 6?

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are currently in Australia to promote their new holiday collection for Topshop. The line looks incredibly cool, but we're really obsessed with two t-shirts spotted on fans outside Topshop. Kylie snapped two Jenner mega-fans rocking the very best graphic tees we've ever seen. "I'm pretty much Kylie without the lips, Ferrari or Cartier bracelets," reads one, while the other says, "I'm pretty much Kendall without the angel wings, legs for days or multiple Vogue covers."The shirts (which aren't from Topshop) don't appear to be available online, which makes us think the fans had them custom-made... or even made them themselves! We want them SO BADLY, but just one little problem stands in the way: which Jenner sister's t-shirt do we want more?! I purchased my first Essie polish around 3 months ago and have nearly used it all up already (see what it is here)! I was quite wary before purchasing it, in all honestly - I kept wondering were the polishes worth the €9.99? I was pleasantly surprised with the results and purchased more polishes from the brand. The majority of the polishes from the Summer collection are worth the money, after many wears and experimenting. 'More The Merrier' 'Sunday Funday 'The More The Merrier'

Playsuit // Motel Rocks Hat // Penneys (Primark) Shoes // Penneys (Primark) Simple was the first skincare brand I ever started using, back when my Stepmother bought me a range of their products when I was 12 years old. Ever since, I've always incorporated at least one of the brand's products into my skincare regime. Unfortunately, my skin has been going through a rough patch with post-surgery breakouts (more on that in my next surgery update post), so I've switched my skincare routine around completely. I recently attended an incredible Simple Skincare event in The Morgan Hotel, in celebration of their new online skincare survery; Simple Sense is an interactive survey, that asks you questions based on your day to day life find a skincare (and lifestyle) routine best suited to you. Instead of just focusing in on skincare, Simple included diet, exercise and general wellbeing - as they all have a massive effect on our skin.

Finding a routine suited to you can be massively overwhelming and confusing. Taking the Simple Sense survey is free to do, takes less than 5 minutes and gives you clear guidelines and advice. "I've used face wipes on hundreds of people over the space of 15 years and in my experience, I've never had anyone react badly to Simple wipes. I wonder where the rumours are from in regards to them supposedly being so bad for your skin; I have not seen any evidence that proves that they're permanently damaging to the skin. If people have had bad reactions to wipes in the past, I'd suggest that they try Simple's range as they're designed for sensitive skin and contain the exact same skin-loving ingredients as our cleansers and washes do. We've spoken to technical researchers in the past about face wipes and the negative rumours surrounding them - they said that there's absolutely no problem with using them and that they don't have any long-term negative effects on the skin at all." Do you use Simple skincare?
