All the floors in our house are now either hardwood or tile except for one carpeted room and we have two fluffy Himalayan cats. As a result, there are often tumbleweeds of cat hair rolling across the floors. I didn't want to have to drag my heavy vacuum out every day or even every other day to take care of this problem, so I searched around for a lightweight stick vacuum. The reviews for this one were good and, since one reviewer specifically mentioned how great it was with pet hair, I chose it, despite the fact that the price was more than I had intended to pay. I am able to run through my whole house and still have battery power left over. (My house is small.) I love the fact that you can detach the "dustbuster" portion to get hard-to-reach places. I love how easily everything clicks into place. It's so light and easy to use, yet the suction is quite powerful and has no difficulty sucking up all the cat litter in front of their boxes.

( After testing, that was determined to be the problem.) So we just ordered another whole unit so we have one to use until we found the necessary part. But when we finally got through to Hoover company about parts, we were told that the product was obsolete; no longer being made and the part would not be available. Nowhere on the WalMart description of the product were we told that it was a discontinued product and would not be repairable.

So if you choose to buy it, just be aware that it is a disposable product; maybe that's why I had trouble finding the replacement filters last fall as well. When I got it (about 2 weeks now) I immediately got it out and put it on the charger. E-Z to put together. I am 50-ish and needed something lightweight to do quick clean-ups. I have a combination of tile and low pile carpeting. This machine works on both. I looked for one with a brush for carpet as well as good suction for low pile carpet and throw rugs. I liked that its suction wasn't too high that it would catch on my throw rugs. It does a great job on both. I can do my entire (one story) ranch home in a single charge. I love the lift-off vac with the attachments. I could get to my window screens and the grooves with the tools. The lift-off is a little awkward at first , but I'm use to it now and I love the versatility.

The only downfall I can say is that the handle is kind of thick for my grip. It could use a slight contour for a better grip. My hand does get sore after a while. The recharging rack is nice and doesn't tip when I place the vac in the holder. I have it in my utility room on the floor. I just want to say, out of all the "stick" rechargeables I've re-viewed, I am very pleased with my purchase. We don't get ordinary dust bunnies, we get tumbleweeds of fur on a daily basis! We wanted this so we could do quick and easy vacuuming every day. This product is perfect for what we wanted. The suction is good - picks up the cat fur from the floor and even from the upholstered furniture. Also good for crumbs and carried-in dirt. We have a small house. The charge lasts long enough to do a quick run through the entire house before losing its charge. And it's always ready the next day when we go to use it.

We happen to have a closet with a plug inside, so storage and recharging is so easy! Just pop it in place and leave it. The power light is orange while its charging and turns green when it is ready. The cup is small so I always plan to end my vacuuming near the trash can so I can dump it each time. The roller brush also pops out for cleaning. Great to be able to easily remove long cat hair. I love that it is cordless. Makes vacuuming quick and easy. It is also lightweight, so carrying it up and down stairs is a breeze. It won't replace my corded vac. I still need it for deep cleaning and big jobs. But, I have always wanted a vacuum that was easy to grab and use on a daily basis. Worked great for a while, but now the battery doesn't hold it's charge long enough to make it worthwhile and we're forced to buy a new vacuum. I can only vacuum one room, whereas I used to be able to vacuum our entire 1000 sq. ft. condo.

Sometimes the charger may need to be reset if you’re not receiving this run time. Please unplug the charger from the wall for two minutes and run the unit down until it dies down completely. Next charge for a complete 12 hours. Once completed the unit should run for the allotted time. If further assistance is needed feel free to give us a call at 1-800-944-9200 M-F from 8am-6pm EST. We’re here for you! Verified purchaser I have been looking for a good cordless vacuum for a long time now and finally settled on this one. It worked right out of the box. I then fully charged it once and have been able to use it several times since for small jobs on the one charge. I was happy to find a charging light on the machine, which I do not recall being mentioned; this is a big help so it does not get overcharged which can shorten the life of the battery.

As far as cleaning goes it has excellent power. The ‘dirt’ cup is on the small side, but this vacuum really picked up a lot in what I thought was a clean house (lol). The detachable handheld and set of tools are a great feature and really help in getting to the tough to reach places. The best part for me is that my 8 year old LOVES it and has taken over the vacuum responsibilities!
