Wedding Dress Charity Shop Swadlincote

Treetops Hospice Care has a retail department with a network of charity shops, two coffee bars and a furniture warehouse. We also sell new goods from our main building on Derby Road in Risley. While the department exists to raise funds for the hospice, our shops also increase awareness of Treetops among the local community, and over the years have enjoyed tremendous support from the people they serve. We sell a large range of donated goods across our shops “from three piece suites to eggcups” and clean, good quality donations are very welcome. There is always a high demand for ladies, gents and children’s clothing and donated clothes are greatly appreciated. Each shop is individual with its own personality; as well as the core offering of clothes, accessories, books, DVDs, household and bric a brac, we also have several specialist shops. There are five furniture stores (Draycott Market Street, Heanor, Ilkeston, Stapleford and Sandiacre), and we have our very own £1 shop in Long Eaton.

Watch your wedding dress come to life... Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show - 16th and 17th SeptemberA total of 626,678 people saw the Duchess’s dress, tiara, earrings and slippers during the 73-day summer opening, a 52 per increase on the previous year. The dress, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, was the star attraction in an exhibition that also included a display of the Queen’s collection of Faberge eggs.
Money raised from ticket sales goes to the Royal Collection Trust, a charity that is in charge of the upkeep of more than a million artworks and valuables in the Queen’s hands. The £10m in ticket sales for Buckingham Palace contributed to a huge increase in the Royal Collection’s income, up from £41.7m in 2010 to £50.2m last year. Sales of official Royal wedding souvenirs also boosted the coffers by almost £4m. The Royal Collection’s biggest money-spinner was Windsor Castle, which is open all year round and generated £14m in ticket sales and £3.3m in sales in its shop. Other income comes from visitors to The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace, The Royal Mews and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. Jonathan Marsden, director of the Royal Collection, said: “The marriage of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in April 2011 provided the best possible start to the year. “The early success of the special commemorative range of china from the time of its launch the previous December was repeated during the summer, when unprecedented numbers came to see the Duchess’s wedding dress.”
The Prince of Wales, the chairman of the Royal Collection Trust, said it gave him “great satisfaction” that the Queen’s art works “can continue to be managed to such a high standard without placing any burden on the public funds”. Isabel Hospice is a local charity providing specialist end-of-life care to the people of eastern Hertfordshire. This year we need to raise just under £5 million. We like to think of our shops as "Aladdin's Caves" because of the variety of goods that we sell. Alongside our more usual good quality clothes, books, CDs and ornaments, you may find special or unusual items too. Stock changes on a daily basis, so you never know what you may find. Recently our shops have provided a walking stick for a disabled gentleman who had lost his own, provided a replacement for a broken item in a family's treasured tea set and supplied a wedding dress, proudly modelled in our shop, for a very happy bride. We have a brand new Vintage department in our shop with some beautiful, unusual buys.
