For us it's an average church in Iloilo after having visited 10 churches, although there's much hype to it; we only classify Miagao and St Anne as impressive. a very old and well maintained church. very easy to stroll through and even see the school grounds, and they also well kept. a nice nursery for plans also. Since we were on our way home from Iloilo, my husband and I decided to visit seven churches in Iloilo and Capiz as part of our Lenten tradition.

Iloilo has several old churches, one of which is the historic Sta Barbara Church. It had been newly restored in time for Pres. Aquino's visit and the church and its surrounding structures... I really took the time to visit this church and heard mass last Sunday Afternoon January 24,2016.It is a Historic Heritage Church. Infront of it was the Town Plaza of Santa Barbara,Santa Barbara Centennial Museum.Santa Barbara is near the Iloilo Airport. Beautiful old church,so much history!! All the old churches are so very nice. Many dating back to the Spanish days. A beautiful church which has been lovingly restored. Very close to the centre of santa Barbara. Well worthwhile to visit this place also has a gift shop inside. this is where PNoy celebrated the 117th Philippine Independence Day last June, where we also got the chance to visit the church, one of the oldest in the town of Ilo-Ilo Excellent restoration of an old Spanish-style church. Don't miss the beautiful staircase, original, just before you enter the church itself.
